Has anyone truly used them and proved them to work? Seems like I keep seeing big name hunters have their names attached to them, but I've never seen them use them? Can I get some input on how they are, would'nt want to invest that much money until I'm totally sold that they do work..

Never used them but the treestand model states 70% effectivness which isn't good enough for me.

There was a topic on this not to long ago. You may want to use the search.

I've been researching these scent ellimination tools for some time and plan to purchase one this year. Its a sound method of elliminating scents on your gear when used correctly.

As far as I understand these machines I would agree with this. In the field/treestand would be another story. There I think it would be close to useless. I guess it may have a degree of effectiveness in a ground blind but I know how effective the wind is.

I was sitting in the woods a couple days ago and the wind was in my face. I was wearing light colored shorts and a tee shirt of light color and I had two does get within 15 yards of me from upwind. They even saw me from farther away but, as I held completely still, they assumed I was not a threat. Using the wind is 100% effective.

Yes I am only speaking in terms of scent ellimination of gear and not for use in open air hunting situations. There, playing the wind is always the answer. I do however think there would be a limited application for ground blind tents but again, Im mostly interested in scent ellimination for my gear.

I would think this would have very limited capabilities in a treestand, it may prove slightly more beneficial for a ground blind, but I would still think it would be limited just because the wind is too large of a variable. I have seen a couple of reviews on this little number for using Ozone for your clothing however, I do not have one of these and am not endorsing it, but it is considerably cheaper than an Ozonics and is made for your hunting clothing, it is called the Log 6, here is a link I found through Cabela's:
    http://www.cabelas.com/scents-scent-eliminators-log-6-ozone-generator.shtml

    $99 versus $399 just sayin...

Good call RC! Their is another system to which is much cheaper and I think would work just as well but the name escapes me. I will try to find this product in the morning.
