Bob are you against using an ozone machine to treat your gear and clothing? Or bringing a machine hunting with you?
Is it really "sharing the pot" when only one company paid for all the R&D and market education? At what point does it become blatantly ripping someone off?
Yea, I couldn't care less. I wouldn't use Ozonics if they gave them away. I put my trust in the wind direction.
I can't afford one, but I have heard so many great things ( and not from sponsors) I do treat my clothes with ozone in a homemade scent closet and I can see a difference
I've had an ozone generator in my steam shower for over 10 years. I'm guessing they were making them way before they were ever introduced into the hunting market. So Ozonics didn't invent the idea of using ozone, they only thought about marketing it to hunters before anyone else.
I'll be curious the results of this. I wonder if Scent Crusher factored in the lawsuit in the equation and simply came to the conclusion that it was beneficial to still create a similar product and still make a profit even though there would be a risk of being sued.
I can't control it, so I don't worry about it. I'm in the woods to enjoy myself, and lugging a bunch of unneeded crap a long distance doesn't help me achieve that. For the record, guys been killing big mature bucks long before this "technology" came along.
My guess is a shrinking mark for these products is leading to some broader product offerings. Lets face none of these products reinvented the wheel so some overlap and toe steping is to be expected. The only ones that will win are the attorneys.
Assuming Ozonics had good patent lawyers, it is amazing how broad and general a patent can be written and upheld by patent laws. Processes including how and where you use a particular product can be part of the patent for a product. I have witnessed this first hand in my particular career field over the years. But putting all of that aside to allow the legal system to sort it out, I find it humorous that one snake oil company is suing another snake oil company over an ineffective process and related products. Every once in awhile, there is justice in the world......
