I just got an ozone machine to use in my plastic bin I keep my camo in. Question I have is how long should I run the ozone for?? I read that you only need 15-20 min for it to effectively work.

Sure but keep in mind the arraignment of what you have in the bin and how tight it is packed.

also be aware of the long-term damage ozone can do the elastic on your clothing and stuff.

I use my machine every day, I keep it in the dog room. I turn it on for a 1/2 hour when I get home and for a half hour in the morning. Keeps the room from smelling like dogs. When I use it on my hunting gear it is in a small tent turn the machine on before I get in the shower then leave it running while I get dressed. I don't use it in a bin.

I was nervous about the deteriorating as well but the more I read and look into, the more I see about it not being an issue. I also read on another hunting forum that Sitka updated their newer gear to withstand ozone (in 2019)

Ozone used in extended lengths and high volume will destroy rubber and elastic.. beware ... it can also be harmful to your lungs .... Ive often though about the cig lighter style for the truck, but continue to pass on it ... there is another type out now, unsure of its name and not sure of possible harmful effects on clothes and humans .... ozone does destroy odors, but using it there are risks ..
