owl call or crow call in the morning ?

    which call has found the gobblers for you? i like the owl call personally its more suttle and less obtrusive that time of day but i have had sucess with both what has worked for you ?

    get in the woods before the sun comes and use the owl call

    I usually hold off on any locator calling hoping the start of the new day will be enough to entice a gobble from an old bird. If that doesn't work...I'll owl hoot. As the day progresses, I also use a crow call. Hawk and woodpeckers seem to do the trick. They like the higher frequency calls alot.

    You should keep a wide array of locator calls as you would with turkey calls. What works one day may not work the next. Just my experiences. :)
