I'm not saying I hate all chain restaurants, but I don't consider any of them quality or ever get a craving to eat at a particular one.

I ate a supper club up in cheezheadland. I don't remember the food but I do remember being entertained by watching the old people trying to park. Get a table with a view of the parking lot.... but not to close to the window.

Supper clubs are dying because they aren't flashy like the craptastic chain restaurants are. Definitely an older crowd in there.

ok, ok...maybe "redneck" was a bit strong. Backwoods? Country? How about "Old-timey"? I honestly don't personally know anyone under the age of 70 who says supper, and I've lived all over the eastern half of the country, including the deep south (Georgia.)

That being said, I have to admit I am really interested by the "supper" club concept. I would definitely go.

can you give thumbs ups and thumbs down on the same post???
LOVE me some Quaker Steak and Lube, but I thought that was only an Indiana thing. Guess not.

Chipoltle is noxious. Their meat is soaked in salt water. Disgusting. Everything they serve makes my face hurt there's so much sodium content.

Now Moe's, that's a good alternative. Plus they serve beer. And free queso if you eat in. And have free trivia Mondays (at least the one I used to live by.) Qdoba is also pretty good. Not Moe's good, but pretty good.

Olive Garden....I know it's overpriced, but I like to go there about 4 times a year and steal their ideas. They change their menu a lot and I take their processed overpriced dishes and make them at home with more natural, fresher ingredients. Plus, call me a :dan: all you want, but I love me some grape and it's nice to have over 40 choices served by the glass, even if I can buy the same wine at the liquor store for 1/4 the price.

Applebees are going out of business all over the country. As someone stated, yes 90% of their dishes come straight out the microwave (I used to work in the industry and knew some Applebees wait staff.)

Five Guys...I just don't get it. Good fries; whoopee. $8 for a burger?

Also not big on the steak chains. I make better steak on the grill any day of the year. Plus I'd rather eat venison steak anyway.

    And lastly, OSU sucks. WORST...STATE...EVER

What kind of fish/seafood? Like fish fry fish (sunnies, crappies, etc), Walleye, salmon, crab, yadda, yadda.

Im not sure I have ever had a good walleye diner before... I love me my seafood/fish tho.

Well, I own a resort in Ontario and lived there for 9 years, so of course I love walleye, both fried and baked. I am also a big fan of boiled Northern. If it comes from the ocean, I'll eat it.

Yellow Perch beats walleye in my book. Walleye is a close second then probably salmon and crab as far as seafood goes. One chain restaurant I really enjoy is Potbelly's sandwiches. Not sure if they are too popular elsewhere but they can make one heck of a sandwich!

Potbelly makes a mean toasted sandwich! Yellow perch is my favorite fish also.
