Just yesterday I ordered two sets of replacement cables for my Summit Vipers. My receipt says it cost me $11.14 for shipping, but that’s life, right? Today I noticed on their website that they have a summer shipping sale going on that includes free shipping on all orders of accessories and replacement parts for orders over $35.00.

I called Summit customer service 30 minutes ago to find out if they made a mistake or if the sale just started today and the answer was it actually started yesterday, but five hours after I placed my order.

Here’s where the customer service kicks in. He said that he would check to see if he could get me included in the sale and cut out the shipping AND THEN he also asked if there was anything else that he could send me because of the inconvenience. I’m not a “something for nothing” type of guy, so I initially said no, but believe it or not he was persistent. I finally remembered that my heel bungee cords had all frayed or broken so I mentioned that and he said he would get three of them in the mail. :tu:

He just called me back while I was typing this and said that there wasn’t anything he could do to get the shipping cost deducted, so instead he’s sending me either some side storage bags or a front storage bag for a Viper. He even asked what camo pattern I had so he could send matching accessories. I don’t know about you all, but I think that’s a good deal and that’s going out of your way to make a customer happy. :D :D

    Pretty cool stuff.
