I have some Victory VAPs on order. I am going to use the SS outsets and I have it in my mind that they would effectively increase the shaft length. I shoot a 28.5" arrow. for easy math I'll say the outset sticks out 1". so I would really have a 29.5" arrow? What say you guys...

Do you need longer arrows? What is your question?

This is a feature I noticed in thier commercial. It almost seems like they are going back to old technology of overserts the old PC,Beman and AFC shafts use.It sure changes up the spine characteristics.

sorry My question is relating to longer arrow length and effects on spine.

Taking an arrow with a specific spine and adding length to it would tend to make the arrow "act" like a weaker spine. You're not exactly doing that here. On increase in overall length would probably do the same-the question is by how much.

I would think the question is/should be how much of a wt difference is there between an insert and outsert. A substancial difference would affect how the arrow acts just like changing between 100 and 85 or 125 grain tips.

What you probably would see is not much difference or such a small difference that it is easily tuned out.

Okay... my only real concern is whether the outserts will be drawn into the rest prongs? That could affect your tune. I too tend to think the difference in weight and spine is likely pretty negligible.
