I dont know if this is the right place to post this or not but I dont know where else to go.

I have no Idea what I want to do when I get out of college. Right now Im just brain storming and juggling a bunch of career ideas. I would love to get into the area of my passion which is the outdoors. How do you get into a career in the outdoors? I was thinking either writing or working for a company that makes outdoor products or anything that has to do with hunting. Just curious.

    Thanks for your help!

Go to college and get a degree making as much money as you can. Then spend you free time hunting the best places around.

Become a CO (Game Warden, depending on where you live..) Granted, it may not be the highest paying, but you'd definitely have your wish of working outdoors.
Another thing would be to get your degree in some form of biology. Fisheries Biologists, (can't think of what a Big Game biology degree would be called, specifically, but it's there...) and the like often do so because of their love for a particular sport. You've probably heard the names of some of the B.A.S.S. and FLW Tour guys that are actually fisheries biologists... Ken Cook comes to mind first, but I know there are a few others. I just don't have my copy of Bassmaster with me.:d
Heck, you could wind up working for the state on deer populations. Or for a private party helping with herd management. There are quite a few ways out there. :deer:

There's a big difference between having a job working in a hunting related field and just working outdoors. If you want to work around wildlife in some way, you could be a game warden or get into Wildlife biology or wildlife management or even check out something like this: http://www.guideschool.com/index.html

If you're just looking to work outdoors there are a number of fields you can get into: forestry, agricultural science, building construction, wood science, environmental science, crop/soil science, plant pathology/physiology, etc. Look at a technical schools like Virginia Tech and places like that and you'll find a ton of fields that most don't even know exist
