Out of 20 shots in a row at 10 yds, how many can you put in a coffee cup sized group? I am getting about 15 to 17 arrows in it. Is that good or bad? Should all 20 go in it? Just trying to track my progress.

    Thanks,

    Bobby

    Depends on the day.
10 yds, if I can shoot 20-1 arrow groups on a good day all. On a bad day...13-15

Bobby, its time to move back some! Good job brother! In a perfect world 20 would be nice, but we all know its not a perfect world! I have no idea how many could do, I never really shoot from the same yardage, I usually walk around and do my shooting from various yardage. I'll have to give it a try.

I have no idea. I usually throw my Rinehart 18-1. I shoot at the distance it lands whether I'm shooting from my stand or the ground. The random distance is a big help to me.

Greg, I thought I was gonna be slick and use an old deflated basketball for that purpose. All was well till I shot it 2 times in a row. Criss-crossed the arrows and broke one clean in half. FMJ down the drain. I will shoot 1 arrow, retrieve, repeat, from now on.

That has been my biggest worry as well (wrecking arrows). These arrows are too damn expensive.

Thats the last time I try that, I got off easy and only busted 1 nock! I shot 5 arrows 4 times and hit 18/20 in the zone! I was shooting pretty good today!

Guys, I have to throw out an explanation of how I am doing this. I shoot like Joe. I shoot 4 arrows, 5 times in a row. Otherwise, I would be pissed at all the arrow repairs/replacements. (This is fairly consistent. On a bad day, I will have the flyers.)

I tried my basketball out again today. I will get my fingers on the string at my side, with an arrow nocked, and kick the ball. I will shoot it either moving or where it lands. I have a blast with it. (Stay out of the tall grass.):d
