    Dang
Just got the call for my surgery , been moved ahead till August instead of June so that my Doctor can have them off. Guess this year I'll be sitting out of the contest and the Hunt! Just bought a crossbow too, oh well there's always next year. I'll have to live and breath through all you's, better start selling my bow and every thing to make room for my crossbow, what a shame, I never shot my Elite more then 100 times and never christained it either ! Want a good deal and a great bow?
    What a shame!

    Thanks Daryl
Shoulder never responded to therapy after 2 years, now to get the back strong enough to pull my crossbow! Going to be a long winter. Surgery is on a knee replacement, rehab is 6 months.

They have cranking devices to assist in cocking a crossbow, don't give up so easily!

Sorry to hear about that. Last fall was one of my worst. I had to sit out the season because of residency status and not being able to afford non-resident tags. The forum definitely helped.

Very sorry to hear that. I think as fellow hunters we all feel your pain on that. Maybe someone could take you out there with a utv or something.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

Thanks for the care but UtV is out of the question, that would get me to the bush a mile in then what? I still got 500 yards in from their over a couple fence lines. Season is done I have to live it through you all! That's good cause I never could get enough from you all,LOL.

Tough when the parts wear out. Hopefully your knee replacement will go smoothly. I had a hunter that was in the backcountry with me 7 weeks after his knee surgery but there will be next year too. Best to you.

Oh, sorry brother, I thought it was just your shoulder you were talking about. Yeah, a knee surgery will quickly halt your hunting plans. Sorry to hear about that, I can only imagine waiting an extra year let alone waiting for the next season already. Here's to a quick recovery!

What kind of shoulder surgery are you having?

I had a slap labrum tear in 2014. I had a tendon tear away from the bone and joint. I had to get the fraud clipped from the tendon and had 2 anchors put into the bone to hold the tendon in. I was playing hockey 3 months later and shooting my bow 6-7 months later at 70lbs again.

Granted I can't throw a baseball now still without pain and anything overhand still hurts a bit. But this was a "major" repair to the shoulder.

Granted I had this done at 34 years old but I rebounded quick.

Just curious what you are having done? Just a note though, my rotator cuff was still intact and unharmed. Might be why I made out ok.

I'm having a knee replacement, had the Rotator Cuff done 2 seasons ago drawing on a Bull Moose at 10 yards,-28 and drawing after 8 hours on stand probably had something to do with it, LOL, now the legs are gone after being bad for 30 something years of being bad. I'm a walking wounded, Doc can't understand how I hiked 10 miles a day Elk hunting, from the sure passion kept me trudging. Now I can't even make it to the car with out aid!
The rotator never healed enough before I tore it again last year, this time on a good buck on the 14th of November. wish it would of happened in early season then I wouldn't have wasted so much time in a tree.
    Rocky
PS thanks for all the good wishes guys

Best of luck to you. I have a knee that I know won't be good in about 10-15 years. Knees are tough. 30 years of baseball and catching. I have little to no cartridge in the right knee and the knee cap had bone spurs a few years back from it. It's on the list.

Best of luck to you on a speedy recovery.
