Just trying to see where you guys stand on this. What is your go to type and brand of call you use for Osceola turkeys? And also, how would you recommend i get good at it.
I've never hunted those swamp birds although it is on my bucket list, but I'd say the same call that one would use for easterns or rio's would work for ocseolas. If your a newby and looking for an easy call to learn and use look at a push button/box call like the Quaker boys they sell at Wally World or a paddle call. You can make any turkey vocalization needed to kill birds with those. You tube has plenty of videos and demonstrations. As far as being perfect, like Phill Robertson said, a real duck couldn't win a duck calling contest, the same holds true with turkeys. You tube live turkey recordings and you will hear how varied each individual bird is. Don't worry about perfect, cadence is far more important.
