Your rig will look pretty smooth Justin. The fit on the Leers is great and the carpeted headliners are nice. In hindsight I would have loved to not have the internal hinges for the clearance you mentioned. Let me know when you get it installed, I'll stop up and check it out!
Just picked one up for my truck on Valentine's Day, not anything nice, but and aluminum "CAP" to cover stuff up and keep it dry. Upped my fuel mileage almost 1MPG also.
I've been putting them on my trucks for the last 10 years. I also love the Rhino liner. On the caps, I prefer the 2 window latches...... seems more secure (lockable) to me.
I paid $50 for the A.R.E. cap on my truck. Of course it's kind of a gay blue color... but hey, $50 bucks. The hydraulic arms don't really work in the cold weather. The glass will lift up and stay up just long enuff for someone to stand underneath it.. at which time it whacks them in the back of the head. Except when it happens to me... it's pretty entertaining. :D I'm think about getting another truck cap and just laying it out in the yard somewheres. Cuz, I'm all rednecky now.
It was a her... so I guess it was my girlfriend. That fish came from Texas. It was taken by the Aim Low Productions bowfishing guys. They live in MO. The fish was in my sun room for a couple years and finally went to it's home in St Louis last weekend. It wasn't my most practical home furnishing. :D
Justin, I know what you mean about cost. I went with the A.R.E. because I liked the single lock, interior, lights and screenson the windows if I decided to sleep in the back. One thing I wish I'd done is to get the models that step up to a higher ceiling back near the tailgate. I have a Dakota and there's really not much headroom for loading anything with any height, like handles of a snow blower or something like that. I do sleep in mine when we go turkey hunting and stay in the woods to camp. If you're thinking security and don't have a tail gate lock on your tailgate, you may want to invest in one. I bought one online for about $60 if I remember right. Wire it in to the door locks and it works with your remote or interior door lock buttons. I thought it a necessity since locking the cap didn't prevent someone from opening the tailgate. It would be easy to force it open and break the rain drip edge of the cap.
