I should get the camera Friday. I'm hoping to have this project completed in a couple weeks and get it out for the season. Honestly, I don't really know what I'm doing but with the help of my good friend GOOGLE, I'll figure it out. :D

I'll keep you guys updated with my progress.

Good luck to you, I'm sure this won't be your last build. Obviously the hardest part of the build is hacking the camera. If you go to www.snapshotsniper.com there is a pictorial tutorial for hacking just about every camera out there. I am by no means an expert but if you have any questions at all, let me know. If I don't know the answer I'm pretty sure I can steer you in the right direction.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

Good luck! I've built a couple using a p41. They are really close as far as the building process. Any questions let me know and maybe I can help a little.

What is the ball park $ figure to build a homebrew? I have always wanted to try to do it.

Good luck, be sure to visit the game cam forum on AT. Great resource for all builds. What board are you using? I've been very happy with my S40/Yeti fast hack so far.

Dawg, budget builds can be done usually between $80-$100 provided you can find a good price on a camera (the most expensive part). That would be for a basic 2-3 second flash based cam.

Thanks guys! I'm sure I'll have some questions. :)

Matt, not really sure which board I'm gonna use. I really want to get this cam built ASAP to get it in the woods.

They have a lot of great info at www.camtrapper.com also. All my cameras are S600's with yeti control boards. Good luck with making one - the commercial ones don't even compare to the homebrews.
