FINALLY got out for a couple morning sits yesterday and today. No deer yesterday but my camera shows lots of new young bucks. Hopefully the mature guys will come looking for all the does hangin around here. This morning I had a doe come into the pond to drink around 8:15...I thought for sure I would have a slam dunk shot @16 yards after she was done drinking, but she turned and left the way she came leaving me with no shot. Then I realized she had a friend (twin?) that maybe busted me. Anyway it got my heart goin thinkin about back straps on the grill, and I can't wait for more leaves to fall and the rut to get goin. Just wanted to share some fun times in the woods. Good luck and be safe in your tree stand.
I've enjoyed my time so far this year and have been close on one occasion. I know it won't be long til I have a good one down .
