The Sportsmans Guide has great deals on binoculars! I here the Carson brand is good for quality and price. I even seen a digital camera binoculars. Those might be handy for scouting. Check them out- Sportsmans Guide

I really find it hard to believe that you can get good quality glass for that price. You get what you pay for in optics. At that price buy any of them.....

It's all about shopping around man optic's planet gives a good discount on damn near everything. Those are just the basic line for some of the top brands out there. Not everyone has the money to spend 300-400 dollars on glass. I got a 200 dollar scope on my personel rifle from bushnell and I can shoot a tighter group with a 1100 dollar rifle compared to an 18,000 dollar system with around a 3200 dollar scope. So you can get good quality glass for under 200 and even at 150. I guess I shouldnt buy the leupold bino's that I can get for 150 since according to you they are not going to be good quality. Rant done.

Now back to OP I would go with the vortex bino's man they will do anything you need for hunting, scouting.

bohica, You are mis-interupting what I am saying. And I was admit I was harsh and short in my response. I am simply stating in that price range it really doesn't matter which binos you purchase. They are all pretty equal. I never said julien or you for that matter shouldn't buy them. It's your money, not mine...

You could check out Craigslist in your area or nearby. Find some good equipment for good deals. People getting out of hunting, etc. and selling their gear. Just make sure you don't get scammed. Don't send money until you get product and look over it thoroughly.

If you go this route I would HIGHLY suggest meeting in a public location and going over the bino's and paying cash.

Even if I had $1k to spend on Binos, I would go with Vortex awesome glass!!!! Best warranty in the business hands down, if you even need it!

Ive got some Bushnell currently 10x42. But I know Cabelas at one time was putting out a bargain bino that looked identical to the Bushnell but a bit cheaper...

I disagree... IMO - in this price point its even more important to compare different models, warranty's, inspect for quality of build etc.... You can easily get a $200 pair that is closer to a sub $100 pair and on the flip side and find a few models that are like diamonds in the rough and will perform closer to a pair that is over twice the money.... If anything, binos on the high end get closer in quality... Just my 2 cents...

For $150 my money is on the Redfield 10X42 Rebels, side by side with the Nikon ATBs I thought the Redfields were better. If you have more $s available go with Vortex.

I am a huge fan of Vortex optics, not sure of the price on the Binos but they make great stuff.
