Just wondering what everyones thoughts on the current line up of bushnell cameras were. I had several of the original trophy cams, the bone collector series. I loved those things and most of them lasted until now. Right now it seems like there are 2 price ranges, just to be general, a 100+ dollar price range and a 200+ dollar price range. I have been temped to buy some of the 100 dollar price range ones, but have hesitations. I know "back then" when I bought the bone collector ones they were always $150 plus.

Does anyone have any experience with the cheaper cams? A lot of my cameras go up after flintlock season and stay out until the next years rifle season so I would say I use them "hard". I dont mind paying the extra money and usually I dont skimp, but if people have good things to say about the cheaper cams, I will gladly save a little money. I tried 2 stealth cam models this year and an exodus model. While they took great pictures, I feel like I was missing some compared to the Bushnells I ran in those spots before...

I am open to other brands and opinions but I have a good amount of trust built up with the trophy cameras and I feel like I would like to stick with them.

If you can find some last year's E2's then that's what you want. Don't waste your money on 2017 models. Maybe in a few months they will come out with a new one that's works properly.

I have three Bushnell's. Still, have my original bone collector version in the field. Last two were low glow and no glow 14mp HD Aggressors. I am very pleased with them in all aspects. I leave them in the field 365 days a year. I do not expect perfect pics every time, however, consistent performance. Started using the hybrid mode and really like the videos. The only challenge I find is if I put them next to a swaying pine tree...can take 1000's of pics sometimes.

I'm looking to add a 4th and maybe 5th in the offseason. Would love to get the 24mp, will wait and see what deals are around after I can afford my taxes...

I had the new 24mp cam and it was nothing but trouble. They may have improved it over the year but I will wait on the 2018 models to come out and hope they made a good one this year. The hybrid mode is what I like about them but the video after a picture is 5 to 7 seconds after so you most of the time miss a moving object.

Can't find the model but last year I picked up a Bushnell 10mp for like $50 online somewhere. It takes great pics day and night. Only complaint is when I go to check it the readout always says -0- pics taken but when I check the card it has plenty including me walking up to the card. So I just swap new card into that one every time I want to check it.

Honestly it's more dependable and takes better pics than any Stealthcam I've ever used.

Trophy Cams work well. I actually have 3 of them for sale now and probably more in the future. They are model #119425 and are 4 years old. I’m upgrading to newer models this next season.

I followed the advice of an earlier thread & bought 2 of the Bushnell E2’s. They were about $85 on Amazon at the time but have gone up since then. While they have only been in the woods a week I had to take a peek to see their quality pics. I’m shocked at how nice they are. Beautiful color and stop motion very well. Night pics are also very good. I delegated all of them but one to keep in comparison but can upload more when I get them.

The temp is way off as I had a short walk from the house but corrected itself in later pics

Me and a buddy of mine have 5 of the E2's. I look on Amazon almost weekly to find deals on them. Awesome cameras and they last a while. Occasionally you can find a deal for like $85 which will include the camera, battery, and Sd card along with free shipping. The deals don't last long but there how I've bought a few of them. Outside of when they are on sale if you bought that combo they want around $180 for the whole thing

I’m really starting to like these cameras. As another person said, if u can get them on sale they’re worth every penny

    I prefer the E2 over the E3.

The E2 I have doesn’t do well in the cold though, it’ll flash but won’t record the video to the card. And battery life isn’t great. Still...easily worth $85.

I have the Essential E3 (2) and an Aggressor. I only shoot video. I hear the E2 were better. I actually like the Essential more than the more expensive Aggressor, simply because you can not program video length on the Aggressor.

I did notice that the videos start with the colors looking too rich or something but gradually fade to look more natural in a few seconds.

The E2 is better all around than the E3. I was disappointed in the E3 this year.

I really like the videos I get with the E3. If I can pick up some E2s later this year for a good price, that would be great.
I normally run cheap cams on my budjet, just to get an idea what's in my hunting area. Now with the YouTube stuff I like these Essentials for the video quality with sound.

Those day videos were better than the 2017 200 dollar plus aggressor. The one buck at night got a sunburn from the cam. More than likely the last time you got him in that spot. That's the only bad thing about the e2 cams that glowing blob. Scares deer off. I only do the black flash.
