I was just wondering if anyone has any experience and options they could help me with for pros and cons on a new bow I'm looking to buy. It's been 10 years since I've had a bow and I was looking to get back into bow hunting. The ones I'm looking at are the hoyt charger and the Pse drive. Any info on these two bows would be nice, I'll be buying the bow next weekend or the weekend after. Thanks

Charger is nice haven't shot the drive. Do your self a favor and look at the mission line. They ate in the same price range as the 2 bows you mentioned. Plus the come with mathews lifetime warranty since the are made by them. Good luck and have fun shooting all those bows!

Your going to get pretty much the same advice from anyone, and it's 100% correct. Shoot any and all Bows you are interested in, regardless of brand. You will know which one you want, after shooting them. Just make sure you post up some picks after you choose your new Bow, we all love us some Bow porn. lol.

Thanks for the reply guys, I liked the charger when I was in the shop. I'll have to look around to find a shop that carries mission to look at one of their bows.

Only thing I'm worried about is I don't know if they let me shoot the charger or PSE at the shop I went to. I just stopped to see if they could work with my price to set up a bow package. They were helpful but I would like to shoot the bow first. I did find a shop about 45 min from my house that carries bowtech and Mathews and mission I believe so I'm gonna check them out before I purchase anything. I read on here a lot of good things about the QAD hdx and the guy showed me the one made by QAD specifically for hoyts and told me both are very popular rests. Still up in the air about sights though.

If they will not let you shoot the bow please don't buy it there. It just aint worth it. A quality shop will encourage you to shoot anything. Never buy anyhow until you have the chance to shot it unless you just know its right for you.

If they will let you shoot it shoot as many as are in your price range. One will stand out in most cases. Good Luck.

I recently just bought my bowtech experience and I wasn't even looking at that bow. I went to a shop I knew I could shoot a couple hoyts (was looking at a faktor and just wanna to shoot/compare a carbon spyder) and a pse dna. after picking up and shootinf 7 different bows, the bowtech chose me. highly recommend shooting any and all you think you wanna buy and then some. trying it never hurt anyone and a good bow shop should tell you that. I drove 45 mins out of my way to a shop because it had indoor range and all the brands I thought I wanted. DEF shoot them all

I just bought a pair of chargers for my son and myself on the advice of a fellow worker sponsored by Muzzy broad heads. He shoots Bowtech after years of Hoyt, a broken limb on a custom set he had made and a season crushing time frame to replace he was ticked off and switched to Bowtech. Even after this he suggested the charger, his exact words were its was an amazing bow for the money. I wanted a Spyder but just couldn't swing that much for a pair. my son is always saying I shoot better because I have a better bow, so for his 14th birthday we both got new exact down to releases bows and gear. Now he is going to have to put his arrow where his mouth is. lol I have been sighting mine in in the last couple of weeks and even though I shoot aluminum still (I've been told the new bows shoot better with carbon.) I am ecstatic with the performance of the bow. Noticeably tighter groupings no matter what fletches, weight, or material I do have some carbon arrows. while the carbons do seem to shoot a little flatter I'm not sure if its because of weight. I am planning on shortening some of my aluminums to fit the bow a little better and reduce weight and then compare the two again. So all in all I give the Charger two thumbs up!!!
