Congrats Rob, nice doe! I've actually seen a handfull of those over the years, and unless they are slowly walking along, you'd never know they are 3 legged. The only thing I can think (at least where I hunt) is they get it caught in a wire fence...possibly get caught in a trap too. ?? Who knows. We've actually killed a few of them too.

My son took one just like yours 2 years ago...it was his first deer ever - we dubbed her the peg-leg doe :D (same leg as yours even, LOL) She came flying by .... we never knew she was gimped until we found her after the shot. It was totally healed over too, just like yours.

    He'll get a kick out of someone else getting a "peg-leg"! :D

Dan, thanks my friend, sometimes I wonder if they pick me! :p

Buck Magnet, LOL, the cripple killa aye? Too funny. Cheer up, it's just the first day. How'd your evening go?

Sliverflicker, it'd it though, Thank you.

Fitz, yeah. Had I hadn't taken here, I'd been thinking about her too much and I'd would have likely singled her out for my mistake. I can't imagine her wondering too far from that core area. My father did say him and his now deceased wife saw her in their yard some 800 yards away.

    BHF, thanks Joe.

bloodcrick, lol yeah, your text was too funny. Thanks for that.

MGH, like I said to BM, it's just the first day. How'd your evening go?

    Thanks Johnny Miller. Appreciated.

    Live2draw, uncanny yeah. LOL

    Rory, thanks man.

Bowtech Shooter, Pat, your text was too funny too. Thanks man.

peakrut, did you ever get the picture text. I found it in my draft box and then sent it or resent it. Too funny.

virginiashadow, lol oddly, yes there are on this property which was also my last years Halloween Rob buck but all the others came from other areas. LOL

michaelp, thanks my friend and let's hope your right! ! ! :D

    Scott/IL,Scot and Siman08/OH, thanks guys.

    Thanks again, Shultzy.

Thanks Big John, nice to hear from you. How'd your day go?

WV Hunter, interesting. Be interesting to know but alas. Rattlesnake said the same thing. I know at one point she looked almost spooked and tried to boogy up the hill but when she hobbled, she had my heart.

OHBowhntr, I think they find me...lol thanks man.

    ISiman4/OH, Buckmaster, thanks guys.

OHBowhunter, how about it. Next I'll take a doe with one ear down at twilds. LOL

    thanks txmarshmonkey.

Had a nice night tonight too.

I saw 4 bucks, no doe. All 4 bucks were non shooters for me the best being a 7 point see here. I sat in my food plot stand.

I got trapped in the tree and had to hang there til well after dark as 2 small bucks decided to feed and spare in front of me for quite a while. I'd watch them with my binos, and then sit back and listen to them click, click, click. Neither too serious, just feeling each other out.

What a beautiful night in the tree, great day all around.

    Congrats on the doe Rob.

My morning was pretty eventful itself. I had a 75" & 100" 8 pt within 50 yards. They didn't want to come any closer. Not sure if I would have shot the bigger one though. Good luck "horn" huntin'!!!!

Congrats Rob. I would have teased you some more but I suck at texting, particularly while in a stand and wearing gloves. I can't tell you how many times I had hit delete because I hit the wrong key. Also, my 'auto-complete' cracks me up. If I type 'dee' it will offer 'deers' as the word. Deers? I was texting Kendall and was typing 'squirrel' and it offered every type of word except squirrel. Like 'squid'. I digress... it's just funny to me.

    Congrats again!

Thanks Finch aka ducsauce, aka Finchy, aka Don. :p

    Nate/FL,
    thanks so much.

LAEqualizer, wait til I put the smack down on a 150" 1x9 :D

TJF, she gimps no more. Thanks Tim.

    130Woodman, thanks guy.

Dubbya, LMAO. Sorta like typically nontypical. :p Uniquely unique. :D Thanks.

    Thanks Rickmur.

    Pat,
why yes, I am missing part of my pointer finger on my left hand. I guess I fit right in.

    GMMAT, thank you.

Christine, LOL girl. I know what you mean. I use Word too. Can't type tree, me, home, doe, night etc.. always gives the wrong words.

Gr8, to quote ya from another thread, "it doesn't suck". :D She probably did make it depending on when she lost it. It just wouldn't have sat easy with me letting her go plus the fact she wasn't bred wondered me. Great doe to tag. When skinning, it was interesting to see how under developed that leg was. And she was very tender through out. I'm sure she'll eat very well.

    Thank you Andy. Diesel77.
