I'm posted up in a white oak tree so i'll use some acorn cover scent. I heard vanilla works decent (never tried it).

I plan on using Vanilla Extract. I've never used it but Hoosier Daddy has been preaching it and I'm going to have to see if it works.

Yeah , i just spray it on the low hanging leaves and i mist a trail with it from wherever i want to bring them in from , and they do latch on to the trail , trail cams prove it , i just put up a new ladderstand its 26' with the extra extensions it was to heavy to carry in where i wanted to put it so i set it up at a easier spot that there was next to no deer , well i sprayed the Vanilla into the new location right to piles of apples and a 50 lb salt block , i now have deer and turkeys in front of that stand , it took about 3 days

Early opening morning I would just set up high on a ridge in transition areas and wait for the deer to move to bed. Wouldn't use any scent. As the season progressed, I'd play around with a host of different kinds of scent.

I have to also agree with the vanilla extract, it seems to turn them into a magnet... definitely works quite well!

I too am going to have to try that, it sounds weird but I guess it's better than not using any scents at all. I will definitely let you all know how that plays out here in WI.

Stuff works awasome doesn't it? I lightly sprinkle it on everything except my bow. It goes on my Boots, clothes, gear, etc. Then the gear goes in either the XL zip lock bags or a sealed tote. Been a great system for me.
