wee are family get together gun opener went well, well just for me but we had a great time and as always i will here about it for a long time.
forgot to post, seen this deer last night bowhunting the same bean field as today he was running the same doe as last night, this deer is old he has only a coulple of teeth in the front and just nubs for grinding in the rear of his mouth as you can see in the pics his jaw is cocked like he needed false teeth, it's been a long wait to see this deer during daylight. 300 weatherby @ 50 yards did not go thru and he went about 15 feet sorry about gun deer in bowhunt forums but i think most of us do both thanks for the replys up front.
the rut is in full swing in linc county, i had five different bucks come by my stand Friday eve bowhunt and had two does visit a scrape and stayed there for about 45 min ,the big bucks are on the move but staying in the thick cover. the weather front made fri and early Saturday prime, front got here late sat and shut down most activity and now we are in med heavy rain, when it lifts and the does get up to feed should be at it's best yet of the season,
