Dear Trespassing Thief, Today I went to my property in Hudson, MI to do some hunting and check my trail cameras. Imagine my dismay when I was scrolling through the trail camera pictures and see you ON MY PROPERTY! Just so we're clear, when I say MY PROPERTY, I actually mean MY PROPERTY! As in, this IS NOT PUBLIC LAND. I own it, and pay the taxes on it. In a nutshell, that means that only the people who pay taxes on the land (me) , and those that I allow, are allowed to hunt on it. I don't know who you are, so it would be difficult for me to give you the okay to be on my property. But nevertheless, you assumed it would be okay to hunt on my property. I can assure you, it's not. Next, you thought it would be okay for you to help yourself to my 10 year old sons ground blind while you were trespassing. In my book, that's Criminal Trespass and Larceny. I wanted to write this letter to you, so that you could show the young man what the consequences of your actions are when you do something as stupid as what you've done.. You are supposed to be the role model for this young man, do you think that it's ok to go indiscriminately walking around through the woods, and taking other peoples property at your will? Because it's not. It's not ok at all. My property is posted with no trespassing signs, but you completely disregarded them and went about your business. I hope you had a good time because I'm going to do everything I can to have you prosecuted, civilly sued, and your hunting privileges taken away from you. Signed- Paul I'm looking for some help from the forum members here, and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is, but first here's some pertinent information. The property in question is in Hudson, MI East of Nye Rd. South of Union Rd. on the North side of Fisher Dr at the cul-de-sac. The incident happened on Nov. 16 (to make matters worse, that's my birthday) I want to know who this person(s) is. If you know the identity of this person, please PM me. What's in it for you? I don't make this publicly known on the forum, but I'm a LoneWolf Dealer. Whomever gives me the information leading to the person who trespassed and stole from my property; I'm offering (1) New LoneWolf Alpha II Treestand ($259.00 Retail) , and an additional $500 reward. Please forward this information to anybody that you know in the area. I know we have at least 1 member from the area, Pittsford, but I can't remember the members name.
Good luck finding and prosecuting them, hope it works out for you. Hopefully you have posted this on a lot of forums, would be a good one for archery talk
Already done and Twitter as well. When I catch him, I'm going to film the entire thing....I'm going to make this guy an example for every thieving hunter on the planet, then I'm going to do my best to turn him into a celebrity by posting it on every social media site on the planet. I've got @CrushTV and @RaisedHunting retweeting it right now. I'm finding him.
As close as they were to your cam, I'm surprised they didn't get that as well! I truly hope you catch the scumbags.
So frustrating. Just got off the phone with my local warden this morning with a similar issue. Best of luck catching them.
I can't tell you how many treestands and cameras that I have had five-finger discounted over the years. I sincerely hope that they will be brought to justice. Good luck in your quest.
I'm sure you thought of this but I bet neighbors have pics, maybe better ones, of these guys also. They probably roam the entire area. Ask around for sure. Older people might not use social media so paper postings at local gas stations might help with your phone number attached.
Don't you just love gun season. I know bowhunters trespass to but gun season really seems to bring the D bags out. I hope it works out for you but I think you'll have a hard time catching them with those pics, there just isn't a good shot of the face. I hope I'm wrong though.
