I might take you up on the offer Hank! I have next week off and I was planning on hunting WI for a couple of days. I will PM you when I figure out what Im going to do. I will have over 150 acres of private land to hunt in Black River Falls next season. There is quite a few Black bears on the property that we could hunt also!
Of course there's goin to be sammiches! and vension chili! and if I'm lucky, fresh venison tenders on the grill! Mech-doc, that would be great if you can make it. I'm headin up north Wed morning, stayin till Sun afternoon.
I just got back from there! Buck sign is EVERYWHERE! Bucks chosen Does, its on I tell ya! We camped at Easty Arbutus Lake........had a great time, woke up sunday Morning with Wolf tracks about 10 feet from my tent!
wish i could go but i just got back from a hunt up in bayfield. my wife wouldnt like me to much if i took another hunting trip before gun season. hah
Very tempting!! The problem Is I've got a bone to pick with here and I don't dare leave on those dates IF I'm still without a particular buck. Some time before the season closes I'm hoping to make a Wisconsin hunt but just not sure when yet. I usually hunt the Danbury/Spooner area. We'll see I guess.

don't necessarily have to hunt. just come up for a day & hang out. but not early morning or late afternoon.
Last year when i hunted up around that area like bowhunting fool said i seen more wolfs running around then i seen deer. I did end up getting a trophy doe but still. Best of luck to ya guys, if i wasn't 1700 miles away i would be there in a heartbeat.
I might have to pass on this trip now. Having some issues with time off work and stuff going on with my girls. I'll drop you a line in a day or two Hank.

Were coming up and ready to shoot a few slammers Hank!! We(cmesserges and myself) will be heading up tomorrow morning and staying until Sat afternoon. I got a hotel room just off the highway.
