Not to defend Scott because he's a buckeye, but he goes after the big boys and hunts them with honor and legal. Scott is not going to hinder another hunter to achieve his goal. The question is why does a deer make people break the law, what is so damn important?

I thoroughly enjoy the bowhunt or die episodes and it has nothing to do with my affiliation with this website. It's just a bunch of guys "just like us" doing what we all love.

I do not understand how what I choose to hunt relates to this thread. I go about it my own way and do not get in the way of or double cross others. I mind my own business in the woods.... I wish others in my area would to.

On one side is just marketing and commercialism. Big racks sell gear, just like chicks in bikinis sell beer.

Then on the other is the quest for a big rack making people to unscrupulous things. BUT I've seen people do slobish things long before the big buck craze, this just exagerated it.

I've seen people do slobish things to poaching to fill their buck tag where any buck will do.

I've seen land owners in a rage if you are hunting within 200 hundred yards of their property line for fear you might kill a deer coming off their land. Yet they put out 100's of bushels of bait to pull deer off other's land. They drive up and down the road honking their horn and shooting in the air to ruin hunts for their neighbor's. This was before big racks were the rage.

Guys claiming areas of public land as their spot and no one else's which escalades into fights and nasty threats. Guys posting non signed state land to fool others into not hunting it. Throw a few no hunting signs with no name on it and it worked... no one hunted it... for years... well except for me. I knew it was state land and piss on the dirt bags.

North Dakota has hunter harrashment laws now and banned baiting on public land to try to keep the pshycos in check.

It is amazing how far people will go or how crazy they get over deer hunting.

It's just a deer Jeff and by all means shoot it-legally!

Hunting should always be about sharing-not the selfishness it has evolved into. We need to get back to hunting with our heart rather than our heads (egos). We do this and we'll get the prestige hunters held in the past.
