Has anyone hunted these areas in Michigan and have any advice on them. I am still hunting my own land but want to branch out a little and do some half-day trips before work when I can't get to my private land.
What about the Pittsford State Game Area? I am originally from Adrian, Mich. I know that Hillsdale County had a lot more deer than Lenawee County. Way more. I am not too sure about the Onsted area. I bet there are a lot of deer in the area though. Not sure of public land, though. Good luck.
Jackson is more famous for the deer, but Hillsdale County definitely has more deer. Take a trip down M34 west of Hudson. heading west toward Hillsdale. On the south side you'll see a sign for Public Hunting. That's all I've got to say on the subject.
