I need a quick tech tip. I am trying to adjust the draw weight on my 1988 Oneida H250. Looking over older online manuals, it tells me to loose a specific "Socket head timing screw". Well, I can not find the socket head screw they are talking about and starting to think the guide just does not specifically cover the 1988 H250 model.

Has anyone on here adjusted the draw weight on their H250?

I close-ups of my bow if it would help, I will post them.

Looking to back it off about 5 pounds and see if my father can pull it back with ease.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry pick001, I just saw this thread. I believe the screw you are looking for is on the side of the top round wheel attached to the cam. It allows the timing cable to slip as you adjust the poundage. I believe it looks like a hex head bolt with a star washer under it but it's been a while since I played with one. Just look for the bolt that retains the timing cable. You'll throw the timing off if you don't do this and then the bow will shoot like crap and it's a real PITA to get back into time if you don't know what you're doing. I'm basing all this off my experience with 1990-1996 Oneidas so yours may be a little different but should be similar. Best of Luck!

Thanks for the reply. I do see the screw that your talking about. This might be the one to turn!

In the manual I could find, it shows a different screw (one my bow does not have).

I have since reached out to an Oneida dealer and waiting for a response. I'll post back here once I have the final answer.
