One Week to go.

One more week left in the Maine season with still no success. There was a few big bucks around but i think most of them got taken out by rifle hunters who don't mind a 500 dollar fine and their name in the paper. Heres a good buck that was coming to my stand every time i put the camera out. He got taken by one of those guys i mentioned earlier a week or so ago. The season gtes over Nov. 27 so that gives me today and 4 more days of hard hunting over school break for Thanksgiving. Wish me luck!

No where i live there's a firearms ordinance, archery only.

 

That sucks that the deer was killed by poachers.1! Goodluckhunting the rest of the year.

Good luck to you for the rest of your season! Season starts again here on Wednesday. I have until Jan 15th to put something in the freezer. I honestly believe that if I don't fill the freezer with at least one deer my significant other might just send me to the couch for a few days.... (The stipulation to me buying a new bow was I had to get a deer, and she's being rather insistent about it.... which really isn't a bad thing I guess). Anyway, hope you get a bruiser!

 

JCraig, you have to hunt with the mentality that there are deer left even after gun season has kicked off. There are still deer in there, now it is your job to find them hidden out in the thick stuff where noone else hunts. GOOD luck.
