It has been a tough year for me as far as lack of scouting, unturned dirt, property management, getting cameras out, mineral sites, and even just shooting my bow! I have not gotten a single thing done on any of my hunting properties and I am going insane! Work and 2 children under 3 have kept me absolutely swamped. I have sprayed for one plot but it was almost a month ago due to being on the road for work for 7 out of 8 weeks. The only plus is hopefully the deer feel safe and secure on my properties since I haven't been in them since early March. Hopefully everyone has accomplished more then I have at this time of year!

Buck up cupcake, the deer will be there anyway, lol.
We had such a wet spring it put me over a month behind on everything here so I'm still playing catch up also. The bright side is our deer look great anyway and they have plenty of groceries. It's still just early July so it's not that bad, still worlds of time for fall plots.

Hey brother remember why we do this. We do this because it brings us a sense of satisfaction and joy. Dont sweat it and you can never go wrong with family first. Your kids and family are your top priority and you get that. It will all work out and you have plenty of time to get fall plots in. If not head out to the stand this year and hunt anyway. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat you are this year. I'm even hunting a new spot in a different state and haven't been there yet. Going to scout it the end of July.

    Still time for food plots.
I'm way behind too, very wet here, hard to get things done.
Deer flies are so bad here, it's hard to even walk in the woods.

Dang, I feel for you Bud. I haven't done a thing to the public land I hunt. Going to have to hunt commando this year. No cameras out, no food plots, no scouting. The deer are probably finding your place to be a sanctuary by now. Enjoy! :)
