While mineral use can be low in fall, we had to start early fall testing last year in some spots. That's when we got started and didn't want to waste any time. Here was one early test site.
I didn't put a cam back here this spring. I didn't want to have to put on a snorkel. We cataloged a LOT of deer there.
Looks like a well used trail. Where were the minerals at as most of the deer had their heads up walking through??
They were right in front where you see the few with their heads down. I selected the images where you could identify the deer. One bad thing about minerals and such is that you get a lot of boring pics of their backs. I now have a very large collection of those along with pics of just ears and antlers and rear ends. With that cheap cam and as close as I had it, night pictures are just flashes of nothing. I don't even have that cam out anymore. These were its BEST pics and they stink.
