Froze my nuts off this morning with a 30 mph north wind straight to the face. Elected to get down early to nap and get back at it tonight. About to snag some food and head back out to the property. Sit for 5 or so hours before dark

Well fellas my life just changed again my baby boy was born yesterday at 930 and I couldn't be more proud of my big boy and future hunter. Jashaun Aden Jones came out at a whopping 9 lbs 2 Oz. Now all I am looking forward to is him progressing and watching him grow up and enjoy life is a blessing for sure. Me and the wife are definitely winners with this Lil guy he turned out just perfect!!! with that being said I still have high hopes to make it to the stand and harvest a few more deer but it will be when I have time but I definitely look forward to it!!!

Big ol' congrats to you and your wife. That is a great looking little man. Cherish the moments. Better than any deer you could ever harvest.

 

Just put it up on score board not the buck i was intending to kill but will do.

 

This is the buck i was after too bad i had to take him with gun yesterday. So 300 inches of antler in a week for me

I shot a doe, but it was the Illinois shotgun season, so I don't think that counts

Looks like Im losing one of my favorite spots. I have surveyors on my trail cameras and theres a sign up "Coming soon industrial park" :0(

Haven't had a chance to hunt still working too much. I'll get out thanksgiving morning. I hope!

 

I haven't seen a thing; getting discouraged. Thought I heard one behind me this morning. Corn and cameras out after this morning's hunt. Gonna be windy the next few days so may try a spot on the other side of the property with the south wind. I think tomorrow afternoon. Friday has a big cold front coming with possible snow. Definitely gonna run and gun with the ground blind around the corn by the river. Interesting to see what shows up on camera.

Today will be our first official hunt with my oldest boy from the blind so we are excited and hoping for some good action so if something walks through right tonight it's definitely getting an arrow.

Had an eventful night last night. Came to full draw but just too dark. Woke up to go this morning elected to let this front come through with rain and sleep. Can't decide about hunting tonight. It would be raining. Snow starts early tomorrow going to be an all day sit it the blind I set up. Saturday as well.
