I had a doe in there tonight she was very uneasy actually caught my movement then she eased out of the food plot only deer I saw tonight I honestly did not hear her come in from behind me.

In a tree, not much action

 

How was everyone's weekend?
I got in the stand Saturday evening only saw a grey squirrel. Pulled my card at that stand and had 2 bucks attacking tree's and one hunter walking thru.

It is definitely time to be in the woods guys I will be out as much as I can!!! I have access to a new local property so I will be scouting that after work today but i honestly have my heart set on just going in looking for sign a good tree or place for the ground blind setting up an getting to it as the rut is heating up. I still don't have any bucks on camera to look at buck I did see that small buck the other morning and I'm seeing small bucks here an there on the move so the young bucks are active and it only a matter of time before the mature bucks are doing the same if there not already. Trying to manage work family and hunting has been challenging so that's why I haven't been out as much and with the baby right around the corner on the 20th I'll be out for a few weeks so these next couple weeks I'm gonna try to get out as much as possible so we can have some more points on the board and more meat in the freezer for the fam so hope you guys have a good week and a even better sit on the stand good luck team!!

Here is an overhead look at this new property I got permission to hunt. The owner says deer use it pretty often so I'm going for it!! I can see a good water source cover and to the south there is a huge field I'm thinking this could turn out good!

Went out Saturday morning and saw 2 does. Yesterday about midday went to our food plot for some maintenance and saw a dandy 8 pointer and a small either 4 or 6 pointer bedded right at the edge of the food plot about 100 yards from our stand. Last night went to what I call my obsession stand where my continuing saga with the big 8 hopefully will come to an end someday. Saw 4 does and a pretty decent 6 pointer. The buck didn't go near the does and the does continued feeding with him there so at least he wasn't chasing or they weren't even close to going into estrus. Didn't hunt tonight as was raining pretty hard and getting windy. Try again tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

Will be out every single day between this evening and November 11. I have Nov. 4 through the 11th off work and will probably hunt really hard including a few all day sits. Putting a lot of pressure on myself to get it done over the next few weeks.

 

Watching the radar here this morning. Looks like the rain will move out around 2 so I will be in the stand as soon as it moves out .

Will be in the stand this evening again.

Saw a small 4 pointer last night... Nothing to write home about.

 

G280 passed the camera on the 26th at 5:45 am or approx 2 hrs before shooting light.

Shockingly he does follow a bit of a pattern and if he sticks to it good chance he walks past the camera going the other direction tonight. This west wind works. Now to decide if he can be coaxed in via rattling or let it ride... If I let it ride and he's in here I'm afraid he comes after shooting light.

He is the one I'm after but not passing other shooters to wait for him.

 

In the stand hoping for some good action fellas and the same to the ones that are out!!!

Was out this morning and saw nothing but squirrels. Went this evening and saw 4 bucks and 5 does. Nothing that I wanted to shoot but I was encouraged by the movement. No real chasing in this bunch, just some nosing around but some of the does saw the bucks and hit the jets but a couple came on in and were not bothered too badly. We have a cold front moving through tonight so hopefully tomorrow morning will be good.

 

Was out for 7 hrs today and saw 3 small bucks
Be out all day tomorrow and then out in the morning Saturday

Saw 3 doe tonight. Friend a mile and half from me saw Wack one of our shooters in a filed with 3 doe. Apparently he was pushing around one of the doe or a could be small buck. At one point he was about 40 yards on a field edge away from a stand I almost sat. With that said, he woulda had to enter the woods another 20 yrds for any shooting lane.

No second guessing here - I made the right move tonight it just didn't play.

 

Cool! It looks like everyone is seeing deer. Err except me.
