Well I've made my decision. The conditions over the next 3 days look less than ideal with high winds and some rain. So this is probably my best shot between now and the end of the weekend to get in and hunt the G280 buck. If deer move in on me late after shooting light I will take an extra 30 minutes or so to let them get out of the area - just don't want to have them between me and my only exit route... Oh well, you only get so many chances to hunt 180" plus bucks.

Good luck - let us know how it goes!

Tomorrow evening have a similar wind just supposed to be really windy 20 to 30 mph. Not going to risk my best stand with those conditions so will see how bad it is and maybe try and go put a doe down tomorrow evening. If not... Drink beer.

Sorry about the video, I'll repost it. In this spot I have to cross a small river and swamp. My stand will be at the edge of the swamp overlooking a deer run. I pulled the card to my camera and got lot's of doe and this what looks like a nine point. It's going to be one hell of a drag! :0)

Pretty good start this morning at the food plot had two doe within bow range the funneled in from right behind my set up when it was still pretty dark out they fed for twenty minutes in the plot then proceeded to work up towards where the beans were. I can no longer see them now so chances are they have worked out of the field. All an all a great morning that definitely got me going!!!

    Possible doe down guys
Had great shot a mature doe this morning
Took shot and she sped off
Got down to look for arrow and blood and was none
Large puff of hair so I walked about 30 yards from impact and found arrow covered in blood marked spot and walked back to my vehicle to unload stuff and wait about an hour

So what did the blood on your arrow look like lung blood liver blood etc if your sure you made a good shot thats a dead doe man. An hr. should do it never know tho these animals are tough but thats great you got to release an arrow. The doe I had this morning were in there early I coulda took a shot but I wanted more light so I elected to pass until light by then they had move out of range. Point is if you made a good shot be confident and if your arrow was covered in blood it sounds like you will be recovering that doe Trav good luck.
