I set out another camera on a new spot. A patch of woods between houses and swamp. Very thick woods, so thick I had a hard time getting through it but I found a nice run so I put a camera in Wednesday and I'll let it soak until Sunday. Very excited, it may be challenging finding a deer if I get a shot. :0)

Sorry I've been busy with work guys. Unbelievable job in the bear! I just switched laptops but I'll try to get Photoshop and mess around this weekend. Any ideas of things to make?

On another note, picked up this little one from the breeder. Gonna have a hunting dog and shed dog in the making! Meet Remi

Also, they started cutting some corn in Iowa and beans are turning. Gonna be a cool sight to see what the deer do when they take it out. First year here and it is everywhere! Counting down Oct 1!

Me and my boy will be brushing in the blind tommorrow in town close to the food plot but more closer to a bedding area it runs by a small creek and ive killed several.deer there already as a matter of fact it is very close to where I killed Ace but were going in on them this time. I cant wait to see JJs face when a deer comes in this year. Its definitely time to pass it down and he's excited!! Cant wait to see what turns up bob seems like some of the biggest deer come closer to town.

Great looking pup. My wife and I had a chocolate lab for about 14 years. He was a great dog and I still miss him. Wish you well with her.

Bob, hope you see your biggest deer ever. Some awesome deer hide in urban areas. I guess they have learned you can hide in plain sight.

Starting to feel the fall in the air, 48 this morning here in Indiana! Got me a nice crisp 7 mile run in at 7:27 pace, off to hang a stand and check a camera around 10 a.m. then a bow shoot after that.

Best of luck to those of you on our team who are already in season - put something on the ground this weekend!

Yea love these cooler temps. Have a few stands to button up tomorrow then it's waiting till opening weekend here in IL. Unfortunately no early season bucks picked out to move in on but normally don't show till late October and then hang around for rest of the season. Crossing my fingers that this year is like the last few.

Do we get points for groundhogs, lol? 51 yards and he won't be tearing up our PA farm land anymore.
