Not sire if youve heard about muck but do a little research before buying them. They donated a big chunk of money to the humane society/ peta last year. It was all over forums. Definatly not a boot hunters or farmers should be buying unless you are wanting to give peta money

Didn't know that! Maybe not then. I've enjoyed my lacrosse"pheasant hunting boots" maybe need a pair of rubber ones to go with them.

What do you guys do for a living? How will your work schedule impact you during hunting season?

Im a driver during the week so most of my hunts will be evening unless I go early morning before work my boss is cool with it as long as im at work on time last year I arrowed a doe before work an i called him an told him an he gave me time to blood trail her recover and hang her up so that was cool of course ive been with them for 7 years so they know what I do come fall. Hes taking off next week for the dove opener so him being an avid hunter helps a bit too. He let me take off for the archery opener so ill be out that day plus the 2nd and into the weekend so high hopes for an early harvest!!!

Very good. I just took an engineering job with that company that makes big green tractors. Like I said dependent on the weather and how the beans are doing I may take Monday, Tuesday off for the KS opener. That'll be an 8 hour trip so it's up in the air. Otherwise looking at hunting there around thanksgiving. If I go back probably won't take off for Iowa opener Oct 1, but I'll be in the woods that weekend! Trying to save vacation days for when they start chasing :)

I'm in the Air Force and have had leave forecasted for the start of the season next week. After that I'll be out everyday after work, holidays and every Saturday. I'll probably get a few free days off in between as well! Deploying the beginning of next year so gotta get my time in now.

Congrats on the little man. Family is more important than hunting. Gotta take care of the priorities. Hope all goes well with your wife and the baby. You will have to post pics after his arrival. That has got to earn us some extra points. :D

I actually manage a surface mining operation for a large mining entity. The reclamation efforts lead to some of the best wildlife habitat in the world. Plenty of food, water and cover. Deer, turkey and bear are seen on a daily basis and the state is going to use our area to begin reintroducing elk starting next year. I am excited about that. I am fortunate that I get nearly 6 weeks of vacation per year and I have only used 4 days to date so I am planning on spending some serious time hunting assuming nothing crazy occurs that I have to take care of which it usually does close to the end of the year and I never seem to get to use all of my vaca but I am blessed nonetheless.

U have an awesome job and sounds interesting man. I'd like to see some elk up close one day and would be a dream hunt if I ever had the opportunity.

It rained here all day long. Thinking about making it out to some public land tomorrow, I'd like to go even deeper where I have a camera up right now, and could swap cards. But it'll be a muddy mess so we'll think about it in the morning
