Honestly, no. The game wasn't as close as the score indicated. OSU handled them pretty well all game, just back to back to back big plays changed the score board. The long pass, the Pryor tipped ball INT then the long qb keeper all happened within a few minutes. I liked our chances had it went into OT. If every game was a big win... It wouldn't be so much fun to watch!
That's true. That's college football for ya. I saw the highlight reel and it was definitely mostly a one sided game for the most part. You guys seemed to play well. Good luck this weekend, I hope you guys come out on top.
They still can.. That was a non conference game they lost against the Pokes... **I am not saying they will win the sec though** :D
after seeing bama's D the other night... man, geaux dawgs might as well be sleaux dogs... the tide D is VERY good
Another barn burner with FSU v. Miami This has been an excellent first week of college football. I'm pumped up for this season :D
UK has made such vast improvements in the last 4-5 years it really is a shame they are stuck in the SEC where, no matter how much more they improve, they can never best some of the other giants in conference. Still not a top 10 team by ANY stretch, but we are lightyears ahead of where we were 6 years ago. Heck, when we had Woodson there was SERIOUS talk about us making a National title run. Had the So Car and FLA game gone one or two plays differently, I honestly think it would have happened. I still don't see FLA loosing at any point this season. OU is out now, leaving maybe a Texas FLA title game?
The Buckeyes lose to USC...18-15 OSU had plenty of chances to pull away but their offense was totally anemic after the 1st quarter. I'm kind of glad this happened even though I'm cursed to be a Big Ten fan living in the upper mid-west...at least the Buckeyes will not be able to wreck the national championship game this year by being in it. The Big Ten just plain sucks in comparison to Pac 10, SEC, Big 12, and probably a few others. It's embarrassing how this conference has fallen over the past decade or so.
The Pac 10? What team from the Pac 10 has done anything besides USC in recent years? The Big Ten is definitely down but I don't think its as bad as the media likes to make it seem. Remember it was just a couple years ago that UM and OSU almost played each other for the National Championship. Conferences go up and down. The Big Ten will be back.
Go Bearcats!.. Never would have thought we'd get a good coach and our whole program would turn around. The score was 56 to 3 when I last looked last night! Woo hoo...
Well here is an example....The Pac 10 went 5-0 in bowl games last year while the Big Ten went 1-6. As far as OSU and MI a few years ago…both teams were clearly overrated which was demonstrated in their bowl games when they were each embarrassed by USC and Florida. It’s ok to lose to good teams like this…but these games were not even competitive. I hope your right that the Big Ten will be back. But, right now they don't have the speed and athleticism to match some of the other conferences.
Enjoy your time with Brian Kelly...I don't think he will be there much longer. I graduated from Grand Valley State where Kelly turned them into a D2 powerhouse, and they still are today. I really wish he had gone to Michigan. Not a big fan of Rich Rod. Its great to see Kelly doing well.
