Well hopefully the deer cooperate for you. Good luck !!

I've got until Sunday and they are talking cold weather moving in tonight/tomorrow.

I busted my arse today hiking in this morning... just to have a good buck coming... see a damn doe and head for her. It was a 3.5 mile hike through cattail sloughs and deep snow. It was a pretty fun hunt as I got to see the buck and a 2.5 year old shove each other around to impress the ladies. The 2.5 year old didn't have a chance but he did pretty good.

The afternoon hunt was only a 2.5 mile hike. I got to the shelterbelt and started sneaking to the north end to sit. I had two does pop out of a slough and head for the trees while they browsed. They were heading NW. I took my time not wanting to get a head of them since the wind would angle down to them. The feeding area is north so I figured I was safe. They got to the trees and the witches decided to head south right at me. I was only 30 yards behind them when they hit the trees. I tried to become one with a tree. It wasn't a very big tree either. I really felt naked. :( I knew I was screwed. I had one walk right behind me about 6 ft and of course the other one came on the other side of the tree about 4 ft. The one behind me stopped a couple yards past me... wind was in my favor and pretty strong. The one in front though... it got real ugly fast when she walked right by me and hit my wind. She blew and ran back to where they came into the trees. The one behind me ran around me and ended up by the other doe. The camo worked as they looked every where but right at me even after getting winded. They never blew again or even stomped. The finally trotted off. The rest of the hunt sucked with not even seeing another deer.

I am beat and I really hate does. They been nothing but a pain in the arse. If I don't have a buck by Saturday... I am gonna schultzy one of them just for revenge.

Tomorrow is the last day here too! I had a nice 12 point at 20 yards tonight. He looked away and I drew back but a doe had snuck up behind me and saw it. Sadly with one little wheeze him and another 8 point and about 30 does all were gone in a flash of white tails. The past 5 days have been the best days of my entire season!

    Hope you get lucky!

Will Troy. Sam has a huge week. A team duel on tue and th. Both section rivals. It is expected these two teams one other and us will be in the semi finals. The a big tourney this weekend. Maybe he can do better than dad did out of the stand.

    good luck,

    i went out today also

i made it out tonight and came close of killing a DOE. (50 Points)

It was about 30 degrees and spitting snow!!!!!!!

We have about 8 inches of snow on the ground after a snow storm and a melt down and then another snow storm. this was my first time out for the second Archery Season. I picked a tree that i thought would be good for the wind. (i was wrong). I got off work at 3pm. i was hom at 320pm. after saying hi to everyone that was home i jumped into my hunting cloths and hiked to the woods behind the house. i ws up in the tree about 350 pm. The spot is close to the field and i know it would be late when the Deer would come to the field. at 505pm i had a small buck ( not legal) and 3 Does came into my set up. The wind was out of the South West. I figured that i would have to kill the first deer that came through. Well i tried the $%^&* wind changed direction and went out of the South East as i was putting tention on the Bow String she stuck up her nose and turned around and ran back they way she came taking the others with her.

Its been the same thing this whole season, one thing or another goes wrong, it just hasn't been ment to be. I still have another 9 days!!!!!!! lef
