    My Daughter was accepted and will be going to Michigan State University to be a Spartan. I am happy to report she did take my advice and go to the college that gives you the most money. The fact Lansing is not where Dad works in Ann Arbor helped also:)

    Good news is I will pay virtually nothing for her degree, with Scholarships and what we saved it's all handled.

    Now one to go!!!!!

    Congrats!

    My parents unfortunately did not save enough to help with me or my brothers 4 year degrees. I am proud that I have been able to handle any and all costs associated with a 4 year degree by myself but learned a very valuable lesson if I ever plan to have kids.

    My oldest is being recruited and visiting colleges right now as a junior. We put her through private and had a 529 account for her but college loans are on her. My wife and I still have 50k left for our masters so if I gotta pay so does she. I think you try harder and appreciate it more when you have to pay it back.
