I swear it gets scarier everyday out there. I would venture an educated guess (without exaggeration) that at least 50% of the cars coming towards me in the other lane at some point swerve in my lane at least partially. Then the jerk the wheel back to get in your own lane. It's is to the point where I watch every single car heading towards me planning my crash strategy. Probably mostly due to texting and driving or people have just become stupid in general. But MAN it seems like it is progressively getting worse!
This morning on my way to work I was approaching a four way stop in the country. On one corner is a house and a bunch of buildings the other three are all plowed dirt fields flat landscape. I was about a 100 yards from the stop sign and see a guy totally blow the stop sign doing about 60. I look down the road the way he's headed see a vehicle on the side of the road, first thought turkey hunters ride parked. I noticed the lights where on, figured it’s a cop. It was the guy got to him then he threw the lights on and pulls him over. If I'd of been to the intersection about 10 seconds sooner, I might of been in a world of hurt! The house blocks my view from seeing if anyone is coming from that way till I get to intersection.
Riding a MC is scarier but it does make you a better driver. One of if not the first rule in driving is drive defensively.
