Michigan the University is experiencing the same trends of Michigan the State. With the flatline population growth and mass exodus of young people, there is nothing the University can do except to recruit from out of state. With recruiting from out of state, you always run the risk of young people decommitting and or choosing to stay in their local area. The population shift of young people to places like Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia etc. are creating deeper recruiting pools then in the past. Perhaps Hoke is not the answer and they should pursue someone in coaching with deeper recruiting roots in the other areas. With recruiting you are afterall still dealing with very young kids who can make decisions based on whether or not they can still get Chick-Fil-A in town or not.

Well duh. Same could be said for any school losing a top 5 coach, not to mention the best in the business. The Texas talk is stupid though, he will hang his hat up at Alabama....but not before he catches the Bear in Championships, IMO. He has too big of an ego and is too much a perfectionist not to.
lmao you're still salty about the LSU Bama game.... I am too actually, I got so drunk I fell asleep at kick off and missed the entire thing including the bar scene afterwards; I suppose tailgating was fun at least. That was my first LSU Bama experience, and wow what a scene. I was blown away at how many people were in Tuscaloosa. LSU travels extremely well, and dominate the bar scene upon arrival (especially true when they play at Kentucky, the bars in Lexington are a sea of purple).
