Just got to thinking about all my equipment and all the money I sink into this great addiction and got me thinking about what piece of equipment is the oldest.

For me...its a toss up between two items, one in needing of replacement soon.

    Hunting Release and Hunting Boots.

That's right, have a Tru Ball release that I have used since 2001 and have boots that go back that far too. LOL...I know, but the boots are just fine, but looking to update soon. As for the release...not yet.

Everything else has been replaced within the last 10 years.

yeah ive got a release that was "handed down" by my father-in-law that is pushing a decade old. I've tried others but they're just not as comfortable.

My bow (recurve). Going on 16 years this year. My hunting hat Is older then the hills. It's gotta be 25+ years old. I've also got some old camo I wear every once In a while that's all of 15 to 20 years old.

I don't have anything that is old really. I haven't been hunting very long at all and was forced to be rid of what hunting stuff I did have a few years ago due to a divorce and the finances that go with it. However, I've recovered and now "It's on"

I have a 1968 Super Kodiak ( Black Beauty ) several bows from the "70's". I also have some Jim Crumley original TreeBark ( the gray, black and brown ) that is actually really good after the leaves are all down. Oh, and of course the knife my grandfather made for dad when he went off to WW II to fight the Japs and Nazis. It's not quite as big as Lt. Aldo Raines.

Hand me down hunting boots from my brother. Probably about 10 or so years old. Them things have been from the moutains of colorado to the snow covered pheasant fields of south dakota. Still look new and are warm :tu:

Ha 2006 is probably as old as my stuff dates...But I quit bringing a lot of stuff to the woods with me. My bow, harness, and whatever clothes I'm wearing is it these days.

I have a buck knife that my parents bought for me back when I was about 10. ....which was um, at least 19 years ago. (ha!)

I have two Browning Nomad recurves which are at least a couple decades old. I also still have my second compound bow, a JVA Astro Stinger that I got back in 1987 -but I don't hunt with it anymore.

My GPS is from 2004, my range finder is a couple years older. My truck is 2001. Sometimes I take Kendall with me and he dates back to 1960. :p

I was thinking the same thing !!

Oldest thing is my hunting knife. Bought it in 1983. It is going to out last me.

I have a set of camos that I bought in 1980. I killed my first bow deer which was a buck in 1982. Tyler killed his first bow buck in 2004. Britty wear's them now and will probably kill her first deer with them in the next couple years. They are still in very good shaped and haven't faded a bit. Would be very cool if they make it a 3rd generation.

    Tim
