I'll be using a new to me Indian brand bow that I got for free for my first bow season. I've cleaned it up but know nothing about how to set it up. I bought an arrow rest from walmart and got it on but am a little confused on how to set it up. Also, I noticed there doesn't seem to be a clear designation as to where the knock is to be located on the bowstring. And finally, it doesn't have a sight on it and I've been pretty consistent at 25yds so should i still mount a site? My only archery experience was as a kid with a re-curve/longbow and it didn't have a sight either. Any help or advise offered will be received very appreciatively.

hmmm....20 views and no replies. Maybe I didn't word my questions respectfully enough? If I didn't make my request clear, please allow me to be blunt. I have a used compound bow. Can anyone give me any tips on how to set it up properly? Or, would taking it to a "shop" to have it setup properly be the only way?

It may be that no one is familar with the Indian brand. There is alot to setting up a bow. It would be a good idea to go to the Easton Archery website and down load their bowtuning guide. There are also a lot of instructional videos on youtube. Or go to a proshop and get them to show you how to set up your bow. I learned alot by hanging a round a bow shop and reading the tech threads on several archery site forums.
