I was wondering if the scent elimination I had last year will still be good this year or should I just go buy new?

Soap and laundry detergent should be good, I would go with new spray.

I do the same as above. I keep using the laundry detergent but buy new spray each season.

Once exposed to the air they begin to deteriorate in effectiveness so it's a one year thing for the scent cover sprays.

It does seem like some kind of ritual spraying down like it is holy water to protect us as we battle odor demons each layer but every little bit helps in reduction, the alternative is smoking up the gear.

It depends on the oe spray formulation, specifically the antibacterial ingredient. The stuff is cheap though, so I'd buy new.
