Just wanted to say hello and say wish me luck! I'm 55, been hunting all my life, shooting a bow all my life, but have never killed anything with one. Actually never really bowhunted much. I growed up a squirrel & turkey hunter and squeezing the trigger of my iron-sighted 22 rifle is my lifelong love and still do. I also was always a very good shot with recurves and longbows since I was a kid. I hunted for a spring turkey with my longbow as hard as I could hunt back in 05-08, from the ground, and no blind. Came very-very close a bunch of times but never got completely drawed back. I hunted just a little with a high country compound back about 92-93, but must say I didn't ever really like the bow or get good with it. I've been itching the past 3 years to get into bowhunting them turkeys and deer again but for whatever reason I've just lost my ability to shoot accurately with my longbow, I believe my vision being a main factor? I finally decided to put that frustration behind me and get a compound. Wow! They've come a long way from the noisy machines they used to be! I got a PSE Momentum and am amazed with it and my shooting ability with it already. I love shooting this bow, and must say already it feels like a hunting bow and not a shooting machine! I've got everything I need for hunting except broadheads, but will decide this week so I'll be ready hunt by next weekend? Sorry for the long hello. Just looking forward to reading up on here and learning something new!
