    Well I finally got my 07 rack put on a plaque by my hunting buddy and it turned out pretty good(the color has faded a little, I may try to stain it later):

    Anyone ever try to stain one, any tips?

    Looks very good!!! I wish I would've done that to a few of the other bucks I shot Instead of doing nothing with them. If It was me I wouldn't stain them, looks to glossy.

    Looks great just as it is. Never tried staining but I did have a taxi tell me one time that linseed oil works good on antlers to give them a little shine but not a real glossy look...I've never tried it though.

    That's just blood splatter/shadows. It was killed at 18 yards with a .25-06 and the 6 pointer was killed at 12 yards with the same gun.
