So the other day, I was cleaning through some drawers in our desk, and found a roll of film. (That's right folks. Film.) Well, I got them developed, and just picked them up yesterday. Not knowing what was on them, I decided to get them put on cd, since everything is digital nowdays. Kinda glad I did. I just thougth I would share some of them with you guys. The ones I attached below were taken at our house in Coleville, CA. Up in the sierra Nevadas, at the Marine Base I was stationed at. The fire was started by lightning, and finally was put out in a total of about two days. Luckily, the wind switched directions 180 dgrees, and sent it back over the mountain. I climbed up on top of the house to get some better pics, but I have a thing with heights, so the pics are kind of blurry. Okay, so they are really blurry. lol. It was pretty amazing to watch this happening. Everyone was out in the street below me, watching the fire, and drinking. Go figure, Marines drinking...
Cool pics! I got a few pictures of a brief fire in Yellowstone back in 2001. It can be quite beautiful when you are at a distance and its not your trees. Next time you have to take photos from your roof, just slap a few Limbsavers on your camera!
