I have a old lone wolf assault hang on stand. I was wondering can I put a bat wing bracket on it? Also I'm not sure how you properly lock it onto the tree and set it. The gorilla seat i added cause it didnt have a seat cushion on it.. Any help would be great thanks.. 20210427_183421.jpeg 20210427_183444.jpeg

The batwing won't work on that stand for a couple of reasons. First, you'd have to replace the seat with a newer version. That one has the top bracket built into the back of the seat itself. You can't have both.

However, the biggest issue is the post size. The batwing is made to fit on newer stands with a larger seat post. In order to do what you want to do, you'd need to replace the seat post, batwing, and seat assembly. By the time you do that, you can pretty much buy a new Assault.

I've done it to those older stands so I know it's possible. And if having the smaller/lighter platform from the original Assault is a must-have, it may be worth it.

Not a must for me on the stands weight or platform. I got the stand at a garage sale for 25.00. Just didnt know if I could put one on it or not. Thanks for the insight. I'll probably just throw it in the shed with my other non used hang on stands. Lol

Those old Assaults are in pretty high demand by the ultra-light-weight mobile hunting crowd. If you're not going to use it I'm sure you can get way more than $25 for it on the aftermarket.

So I have noticed by all the pm's I have received on it now. I'm more of a climber hunter. May use a hang on once in awhile. Bad enough I have 4 of the hawk helium sticks and out of 3yrs used them once. I dunno what I'm gonna do. Thanks for all the info everyone.
