I am getting an old golden eagle split limb cam bow next week for free and will be using it just for bowfishing but the previous owner sanded down the wood edges of the limbs and did not seal them. What would be the best way to seal them and with what. Do I have the bow unstrung or leave it set up to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love this site BTW plan on coming by more often.

    Thanks

    Richard

If the bow has wood limbs it's gotta be at least 20 years old, no? Would love to see a picture!

That being said, I have no idea what would be good to seal it with. I would imagine some sort of polyurethane just to protect the wood from getting wet while bowfishing.
