First saw this buck in Dec of 2010 as a three pointer. It was all he could do to walk and obviously had a broken leg and I didn't think he would make it through the winter. Well I've got videos of him every year since 2010 and amazed that he continues to live. In the second video he actually whoops another yearling buck!!! Just shows that animals have determination and will to over come adversity. That's a lot of big words for me. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
I would shoot any badly hobbled deer. I almost shot a yearling last year that had a bad limp. I held off because the shot wasn't the greatest. Never saw it again.
I got a lot of respect for that deer because he obviously has a lot of determination and strength to make it this long. He seems to get along without that front leg just fine. Neat deer and awesome videos.
Maybe an injury or birth defect. 3 legged deer like 3 legged dogs can do just fine. If you shot him I wouldn't blame you. Better yet, looks like a great deer for a youth hunter.
That buck seems to be doing fine. I would shoot him if his antlers were bigger but not just because of the messed up leg. On the other hand, I did shoot a button buck last year because he had a badly broken back leg. He was in bad shape.
