Dan, I got a heater body suit about 6-7 years ago and I love it. It makes cold weather hunting enjoyable.

It was 17° degrees this morning and I dressed for a 40° hunt. I stayed warm all morning!

Hunted Friday and had no luck. Seems like I am out of time to hunt too but I'll try my best to get out there again.

This season definitely has shown me that you only get so many opportunities, so you better take advantage of them.

Our regular bow season is done...didn't get out last weekend because back injury flared up. We do have some metro unit hunts still going until the end of January so hoping to maybe get out a time or two still.

Saturday was my last day. Headed to the ground blind only to find it turned over and ripped up from the wind. Got it back into semi working condition. Had about 7 deer come out but they stayed at about 50 yards. This season was hell but I am already looking forward to getting back out next year.

I was able to get a doe with my gun a couple weeks ago. Really needed the meet. Shot a really old buck with my bow and we looked for several hours but just couldn't find him. I am really bummed about that. Hoping to make it out for a couple more sits and that is it for me..

Sorry to hear about losing him, any idea where you hit him?

Not sure what's in the neck. My best guess is a tine broke off in there and it's infected around it? Hoping he will make it through to next year.

Went out one last time in a metro unit in WI(only places in WI still open to deer hunting and today was the last day). First time hunting the property. Found what was left of a 3pt buck...looks like the coyotes got a hold of it. Didn't see any live deer but had fun hunting anyway. Think it may have been a little too warm for them to be on their feet early. It's been great being on your team this year!

Looks like its all wrapped up. The other teams have no idea how lucky they are we showed them mercy:). Had my buck officially scored today...232 1/8 gross, 220 6/8 net. What a deer.
I enjoyed "hunting" with you all. Enjoy your summer and go get 'em next season.
