It feels great not to be hunting this weekend!!! Lol 1st season shotgun started today. I'll be out with my 870 the next 2 weekends!
It's muzzleloader season right now in WI but plan on heading out with my bow this afternoon to hopefully put down a doe. Maybe I will get lucky and one of the girls will be in heat again and bring in a big ol' boy!
Yesterday was the first I was able to hunt in awhile. It did nothing but rain all day. This has been a rough year when it comes to weather but I'll give it a shot next Saturday, then the late season as well.
Sorry I have not been very active in the forum. Having a three year old will do that. Still have some late season hunts planned so here's hoping
Nice deer Dan...I like the shotgun too. Who is still getting after it? I took my last tree stands down this weekend. Only 9 and a half months to bow season
Thanks! And good luck to you! I might slip out next week to whack a doe but in not sure I'm wanting to! Lol. I'm beat. I do have a friend who has never killed one with a bow so that might be my mission the rest of the season. Might also try to get my wofe her 1st deer during our late muzzleloader season.
They aren't moving much down here.. It's been at around the 70 degree mark for about the past week or so. I'm really praying for a big front to move through soon
Haven't been posting much on here but still nothing. I'll be out Dec 26th and 27th. Last weekend, me and my brother found two young 6pt bucks that were unrecovered. Tried to clean one up and save the meat but it just didn't smell right.
Weather has been tough this year. Can't hit the dry days or right wind. Have one more weekend in stand. Here's hoping
Merry belated Christmas everyone. The wife got me a few new hunting toys that I cannot wait to try out!!
Hoping to get out a bunch this next week. Had something pop in my lower back last weekend so been recovering this last week. It is still sore but should be able to get out starting Tuesday. We just got about 5 inches of fresh snow and the temps are going to drop to the teens for a high so hopefully that will get the deer moving. Good luck to everyone still at it!
