The next three days the woods are going to explode around here. 15 degree temps drops, several nights at 32, and the magical days of Nov 7, 8, and 9!
Now if I can shoot one of the bucks I'm after we could jump about 470- 520 points in a week! Add a couple does or another buck and we'll be in business!
Game of cat and mouse. Sit one side of a field the come out the other. Switch sides and they come out where I was before. Found a nice scrape line where I'll be sitting Saturday morning then I'll check my cam at another property at lunch. Depending what's on the card will determine Saturday nights sit.
Good luck to everyone that is going to be out hunting the next few days - I think this weekend could be really good! It's killing me that I can't make it out until Tuesday - but after that - my schedule should clear up fairly well for the next 10 days or so - least to make it out for morning or evening sits...
Well guys can't believe I don't have a deer on the ground yet. It isn't for lack of time in the stand, glad The wife understands and shares my passion because she has become a hunter's widow the past two weeks. Not much rutting activity around me yet. Nice work packers fan! I ended up moving some stuff around and was able to get in a couple of sits... Had a nice shooter at 30 yards this morning but it was 2 dark to shot by about 10 mins... We are in a winter storm warning now - plan is to get out tomorrow after dropping my daughter at school then most likely an all day sit Tuesday... Good luck to everyone!!

Been hunting hard but still nothing. It seems very slow in my area. Had a few younger bucks chasing but nothing Im after. Thinking about going back to the public land mountain to see how things are there.
The last few days have been absolutely brutal sits... Wind chills today were near and even sub zero at times... Few of my toes still feel weird... Starting to get frustrated... On Monday, at about 11:30 I couldn't take it any more (wind was like a knife) - called it a morning sit... Checked my camera today - a HUGE bodied deer (didn't capture head) walked 28 yds from my stand at 12:10... Bunch of those types of examples - sit one stand and see deer on the trail cam seemingly prancing around a different stand... I've had a bunch of opportunities at smaller deer - just nothing mature... Gonna keep hitting it - bout all I can do...
